	1. DESCRIPTION

     **********************************************************************

Less Generic NPC mods provide unique dialogue filtered for individual
NPCs that replaces the generic responses usually encountered and
     create individual personalities and backstories.

Pax Redoran transforms the entire House Redoran experience by
characterizing it as a House of honorable warriors that has been in
decline. The PC may restore the honor to House Redoran through his
or her choices in a series of new quests. While most of these quests
are intended for Redoran players there are several quests available
to all players, and playthrough will benefit by the new dialogue and
     personalities.

Bundled in this archive is LGNPC_SoulSicknessPatch_v1_00. This patch
prevents the onset of soul sickness introduced by Pax Redoran. If you
do not wish to have the player susceptible to soul sickness, load the
patch along with Pax Redoran. The patch must load after Pax Redoran
and is is time-stamped to assure this of happening. For more
     information, view the document LGNPC_SoulSicknessPatch_Readme.

     **********************************************************************

	2. INSTALLATION

     **********************************************************************

This archive consists of a plug-in module (.esp), a readme and
     walkthrough file (.txt).

Unzip the archive into your Morrowind\Data Files directory, or manually
copy LGNPC_PaxRedoran.esp into your Morrowind\Data Files folder.
If asked to overwrite, choose [Yes].

     **********************************************************************

	3. USING THE PLUG-IN

     **********************************************************************

From the Morrowind Launcher, open Data Files and check the box next
     to LGNPC_PaxRedoran.esp

This plug-in depends on Morrowind only.

It can be used with a new game or an existing saved game.

Users of LGNPC Pax Redoran version 1.10 or later:
Version 1.30 changes how the player pursues the quest 'Make Amends'.
Do not update to version 1.30 while that quest is active. Before or
after it is completed an update is safe - it will not be necessary
to clean your saved games. Simply un-plug the existing version and
plug-in version 1.30. Ignore the warnings, they will disappear after
       you save with version 1.30.

Users of LGNPC Pax Redoran version 1.00:
Substantive changes have been made and your existing saved games
will not run unless they are first 'cleaned' using a utility such
       as Wrye Mash.

Do not use with an earlier version of Pax Redoran. This plugin is a
     replacement not a patch.

Pax Redoran should load after any other LGNPC mod. The existing date
stamp (if unchanged) will assure this.

It is recommended that you make a backup of your current game before
using this plug-in. It may spare you much grief should you encounter
problems or conflicts that result in your un-installing the mod.

	4. FEATURES

     **********************************************************************

LGNPC Pax Redoran creates unique dialogue for approximately 115
existing NPCs. There are over 5800 new dialogue entries covering 430
     new and existing topics.

We offer around 60 new quests, most of which are available to only
     members of House Redoran.

All Redoran in Vvardenfell not addressed in another LGNPC installment
are given at least some unique dialogue. Specifically, all Redoran
NPCs in Ghostgate, Molag Mar, Ebonheart, Gnisis, Shishi, Sudanit,
Marandus, and other minor areas are given a full "Less Generic NPC"
makeover on every major topic. Major Redoran NPCs and quest givers in
existing LGNPC mod towns (Ald-ruhn, Maar Gan, Ald Velothi, Khuul) are
included from the original mod, with some changes to make House
Redoran more coherent. All non-Redoran NPCs involved in quests are
given LGNPC makeovers that reflect their quest.

Depending on how they are classified, there are approximately 50 new
Redoran quests, 13 of those only available to the archmaster. There
are around 25 other Redoran 'events' that will take place. There 6
new Hortator quests and 8 new 'main' sub-quests available to all
     players.

Pax Redoran complements and is complimented by LGNPC Indarys Manor,
Vivec Redoran, Ald'ruhn, Maar Gan, and Khuul, and it is recommended
     that they be used together.

     Some highlights include:

     - Save House Redoran's ebony trade.
     - Solve crimes and dispense justice.
     - Uphold Redoran honor.
     - New rewards, responsibilities, and quests if you become councilor
       and archmaster.
     - Gain an Imperial Title of Nobility.
     - A more dynamic world that responds to your actions as a Redoran.
     - Some official Redoran quests have been expanded on or at least the
NPCs involved in the quest have unique dialog and personalities.
     - The actions you take and the choices you make as a Redoran will
affect your reputation and your honor. Behaving honorably or
       dishonorably will have consequences.

Refer to LGNPC_PaxRedoran_Walkthrough.txt for assistance with any of
the quests introduced by this mod.

	6. COMPATIBILITY

     **********************************************************************

This plug-in depends on Morrowind only.

Do not use merged dialogues.esp (from TESTool) with this plug-in (or
     any other LGNPC installment)!

LGNPC Pax Redoran has been cleaned with tes3cmd, date-stamped and
local reference indexes re-numbered with Wrye Mash. If you open this
mod in the game editor, use Wyre Mash to preserve the date stamp and
     local object reference index:

          Date stamp: 6/30/2008/11:00:00 PM
          Starting local reference index: 41759

Changing these values could result in conflicts with other mods.

     CONFLICTS:

     - "Join All Houses" by Heph Will break some Pax Redoran quests, and
       likely create other odd results.

     - "Marandus Abode" by Princess Stomper will break the 'Marandus'
       quests.

     - "Vampire Embrace" by Cortex shares a dialogue filter with many
LGNPC mods that could result in unexpected problems in both mods.

     - To manage conflicts that could arrise with other mods that alter
the cells "Hairat-Vassamsi Egg Mine', 'Hairat-Vassamsi Egg Mine,
Queen's Lair', 'Piran' and 'Ramimilk, Shrine', a duplicate of each
cell has been created: Hairat Vassamsi Egg Mine', 'Hairat Vassamsi
Egg Mine, Queen's Lair', Piran Caverns' and Ramimilk Shrine'. New
doors overlay the original doors to provide access. Should it be
necessary to enter the original cells, one or more of the new doors
can be disabled through the console. The door IDs are:

jo_door_cavern_doors10_hv (located in Ashlands Region (-5,13))
jo_door_cavern_doors10_piran (located in Molag Amur Region (8,-3))
jo_dae_door_load_oval_ramimilk (located in Ashlands Region (-1,4))

Open the console by pressing the tithe '~' key, click on the door
       and type:

         Disable

The original door will now be revealed providing access to the
       original cell.

     - Similarly, four Ald'ruhn cells are transformed as a result of the
player's actions. New doors overlay the original doors to provide
       access to the new cells.

       * Ald-ruhn, Drinar Varyon's House becomes Ald-ruhn, Alvur Relds'
         House.
       * Ald-ruhn, Hanarai Assutlanipal's House becomes Ald-ruhn,
         Redoran Guest House.
       * Ald-ruhn, Morvayn Quarters becomes Ald-ruhn,Guest QUarters.
       * Morvayn Manor becomes Ald-ruhn, Morvayn Manor.

Should access to the original cells be necessary the new doors can
be disabled through the console as described above. the door IDs
       are:

         jo_redoran_hut_AlvurReldHouse (located in Ald-ruhn (2,-6))
         jo_redoran_hut_GuestHouse (located in Ald-ruhn (2,-6))
jo_r_s_door_GuestQuarters (located in Ald-ruhn, Redoran COuncil
           Hall)
         jo_redoran_hut_MorvaynManor (located in Ald-ruhn (2,-7))
